Biog

A Brief Biog of Kathleen

Interesting to recall the past, especially when letting go of the past is so key to me being in the present!   And my way of presenting isn’t always linear but I do want to tell you some of things I have enjoyed…

Communications Graduate 1990 DIT with several years as a Production Assistant in RTE, NFB (National Film Board of Canada) and Production Manager with TG4 for C.U. Burn comedy series. Trained in Kindergarten Early Years Education (Steiner Waldorf).

Initiated many projects like Inishowen Summer Gathering (celebrating Sustainability, Creativity, Heritage and Environment),  co-founded Celebrate Water community group, Transition Inishowen.

Love to take photos of the skies, seas and flowers.  Am rekindling interest in storytelling and producing multi-media projects. And the Irish language – rekindling an teanga through song.

Am a Home Education parent in a Hand Made Home on a Small Farm on a hill overlooking the Foyle River.  Co-founder of a family led Kindergarten inspired by Steiner Education.

Love being in this family with Brendan Farren and our children where we follow our heart and create as we go.  Brendan is a multi-talented man from sculpting to building and painting to farming. www.biggreenart.com

Collaborated on Birth a New Song @ Uisneach (with Elaine Ní Chairdha) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwnWy__bX5I

Lots of projects over the years some can be seen on www.theedgeschool.net  In recent years Social Permaculture and Cultural Emergence has been a wonderful journey and I want to share how I have integrated it all.  Offering Sensory Walks is my latest experiential offering.  Participatory Arts has been a normal practice for me in everything I’ve been involved with.

Thanks for your interest,
